Accurate Miniatures 1/48 TBF-1C Avenger

Originally released in 1996, the Accurate Miniatures Avenger was one of the first “good” kits I ever built. And I was hooked. I built at least three of them in the early 2000s. I also used some of my very first aftermarket on one, using some resin wings to fold the wings back. The kit was kindly donated to me to build by Kitmasx.com. This was an original boxing, but Kitmasx also kindly provided their master mask set for the windows and the markings. Building this kit again after nearly 20 years was a huge trip down memory lane, and I enjoyed every moment of this build.

You can still find some original Accurate Miniatures boxings of this kit on EBAY and such, but the kit is also reboxed under the Academy Models brand, so its still available and I highly recommend going out and finding one!
